Tips on How to make it Appear your First Time in a Casino's Poker Room

There are many reasons to want people to think you are an inexperienced poker player and here are some ways you can make them think that.

When entering the poker room you will be escorted to a poker table as soon as you are in the room make sure to look around like you have never been there before. Make sure to practice you look of awe. When you get closer to the table the other players will be looking to check you out, and if you make it seem like this is your first time in a casino poker room they will think you lack experience and will let their guard down around you.

Make sure to allow your face and demeanor to announce what kind of hand you are holding. Once it has been established with the other players that you have no poker face it will be easy to bluff them. But this can be a bit tricky. If you successfully fake them out they may begin to think that something funny is going on. Maybe at some point during the game when you have a bad hand allow a loud sigh to escape from you, then look around the table to see if anyone noticed, but don’t let them know you know they noticed. Then try to bluff and make sure it does not work.

During the game, eventually you will get a good hand, when this occurs you should start betting big and keep raising the bet, then if someone challenges you try to raise the bet past the table limit. This will make it obvious that you have very little experience in a casino. The point is that you need to win this hand, so do not start raising the bet unless you are sure you have a good chance of winning. You should make sure to have at least a full house in your hand at the time, but if you do lose the hand it also lend credibility to the illusion that you o not know what you are doing in the poker room.

It is also good if at the beginning to just play bad. Stay in and bet big with just a pair in your hand. If I was at a table with someone who played like that I would assume they either did not know how to play, they just do not play well or they just do not play often, and I would assume that this player was a fish.

Normally you would not want to look like an idiot at the poker table, but in this case you do want to look stupid. If you watch poker on TV you see how the pros dress, this is not at all how a normal gambler would dress in a poker room, but if you dress like this the people will think that you just watch too much television and won't take you for a serious player.

The object is to make people think you are inexperienced, but if you do too much or over do it, it becomes a real tell, and all the other players at the table will now that you are bluffing. If this should happen you would be well advised to just walk away. You should be able to tell if they are falling for it by how they bet if you are trying to get them t bet big but they are being overly cautious time after time, and you notice dirty looks then the gig is up and you should go.
